Griff Straw

Advisory Board Chairman

Straw brings more than 30 years experience in the mortgage banking industry to Solidifi and will be responsible for leading the rapid growth company as Solidifi continues to expand its valuation services in the US market place.

As past, Vice President of Industry Relations for United Guaranty, Straw managed relationships with FNMA, Freddie Mac, FHLB's, and various industry groups such as; Mortgage Bankers Association, and ABA. In 2003, he won United Guaranty's Discovery Award for his role in developing United Guaranty's Broker Xpress program.

Before United Guaranty, Griff was responsible for Strategic Opportunities for Freddie Mac in its Business and Product Development groups. He has been involved in the housing finance industry since the early 1970s.

Straw received his designation as a CMB (Certified Mortgage Banker) from the Mortgage Bankers Association of America in 2000. In October 2003 he was inducted as a CMB fellow recognizing his support of the CMB society. In 2006 Straw was elected to the leadership of the CMB Society, currently acting as the Immediate Past Chairman, and CMB Strategic Initiatives Committee chair for 2008-9 of the CMB Society.

Yousry Bissada

Mr. Bissada has been involved in the Canadian mortgage industry for many years. He has occupied progressively senior positions with two leading financial institutions, FirstLine Mortgages and TD Canada Trust. Most recently, Mr. Bissada was President and CEO of Filogix, Canada’s leading technology provider to the mortgage and real estate industries. Mr. Bissada’s experience and insight has led to a distinguished and respected career in the mortgage industry.

John Bordignon

Mr. Bordignon is currently Executive Vice President, Strategic Development for Paradigm Quest Inc. Prior to joining Paradigm Quest, John was Executive Vice President, Corporate Development for Filogix Limited Partnership, a division of Davis & Henderson. At Filogix, he was responsible for product development and all new corporate initiatives. John has over 25 years experience in the Canadian mortgage market including 18 years with National Bank of Canada in various leadership positions.

Michael A. Johnston

Michael A. Johnston is the former President and Chief Executive Officer of Proficio Mortgage and has over 35 years of experience in the financial services industry. Mr. Johnston is the founder and former Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of Merrill Lynch Credit Corp. Mr. Johnston was Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of Basis100 Inc. and served as Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of Lender’s Service Inc. Earlier in his career, Mr. Johnston was the Chief Financial Officer of Merrill Lynch Hubbard.

John Schipper

Advisory Board Member

John Schipper is responsible for appraiser relations for Solidifi. He has spent 35+ years in the financial services sector, primarily focusing on retail credit and mortgages. He has held senior management positions with major Canadian financial institutions, including TD Bank and GMAC Canada. Schipper was also President of Mortgage Intelligence and part of the original team that created Canada's largest mortgage technology company, Filogix. He is a gold medalist Fellow of the Institute of Canadian Bankers (FICB); a founder of the Canadian Association of Accredited Mortgage Professionals (CAAMP); and has completed the Executive Management Program at Duke University (Fuqua School of Business).

Ivan Wahl

Advisory Board Member

Mr. Wahl has approximately 30 years of experience in the residential mortgage business and has played a leading role in the development of the Canadian mortgage broker channel and the mortgage-backed securitization industry. Mr. Wahl is currently Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of Xceed Mortgage Corporation. He founded FirstLine Trust Company in 1985 and served as its Chairman and Chief Executive Officer. From 1995 to 2001, he was Vice-Chairman and Director of CIBC Mortgages Inc.
