The D.C., Maryland, and Virginia (DMV) area is seeing continuous expansion, including regional job growth. Due to the desirable area, numerous construction projects are taking place to redevelop the land to include more condos and increase construction in rural areas.
The median home price for a single family home in Fairfax County currently sits at $571,000, with the entire DMV area sitting at approximately $385,000. 2,450 homes were sold in Northern Virginia in May 2018, down by 2% from the previous month. Also down slightly are available listings, which dropped 2% since April. Northern Virginia and the DMV area has averaged 29 days on the market over the last six months.
