My experience with the mortgage industry began when I bought my first home. My friend worked for a mortgage company and noticed my peaked interest in the industry, and he encouraged me to become a loan officer. Several years later, I was looking for an opportunity that would keep me in the mortgage industry but would allow me to manage my own schedule. A colleague of mine talked to me about the title and closing side of things, specifically mobile closings. I’ve been working as a notary specializing in mobile closings for the last four years, and it is the best work experience that I have ever had.
What I find most rewarding about working as a notary is that I can help make the homebuying process a little easier for clients. I come to the clients and review all of the documents with them. Buying a home is most people’s most important investment, and I am proud to play a small part in helping make their lives better.
