1. Introduction

This Employee Privacy Notice for California Residents (“Employee Notice”) describes how we collect, use, disclose and protect Personal Information (as defined below) that Solidifi U.S. Inc., and its subsidiaries, affiliates, and divisions (“Company”, “Solidifi,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) collect about you. This Employee Notice supplements our general Privacy Notice (which is available on our website at www.solidifi.com) and applies solely to visitors, users, and others who reside in the State of California who are job applicants, employees, contractors, corporate officers and/or directors about whom we receive Personal Information (“you”, “your” or “California Employees”). We adopt this Employee Notice to comply with the California Consumer Privacy Act (“CCPA”) and other applicable California privacy laws. Any terms defined in the CCPA have the same meaning when used in this Employee Notice. The following provisions apply to our processing of information that identifies, relates to, describes, is capable of being associated with, or could reasonably be linked to you (“Personal Information”). Solely as applicable to you, the provisions of this Employee Notice prevail over any conflicting provisions of the Privacy Notice. We reserve the right to amend this Employee Notice in our sole discretion at any time. When we make changes to this Employee Notice, we will post the updated Notice on our website (and/or at such other locations as we may designate) and update the effective date.

2. Information We Collect and Use

The Company collects the following categories of Personal Information about its California Employees:

3. Purposes for Which These Categories of Information are Collected

We may, subject to applicable law, use or disclose each of the above categories of Personal Information, for the following purposes:

  • Managing our workforce: managing work activities and personnel generally, including recruitment, evaluation, performance management, promotions, training and career development, workforce analysis and planning, succession planning and business continuity and disaster recovery planning and execution;
  • Facilitating and administering our employment relationship with you: administering salary and payment administration, wages and other awards such as stock options, stock grants and bonuses, healthcare, pensions and savings plans, leave, transfers, reimbursement of business and travel expenses, employee loans and honoring other contractual benefits;
  • Information security protection and cybersecurity: monitoring, detecting and protecting against security incidents, malicious, deceptive, fraudulent or illegal activity or other violations of Company policies or applicable law, providing access to Company facilities and providing information technology support; and
  • Complying with legal, regulatory and contractual requirements: satisfying recordkeeping and retention obligations, complying with other legal, compliance, regulatory or contractual requirements.

4. Your Rights and Obligations

You have a number of legal rights when it comes to your Personal Information, including the right to be informed about the Personal Information we collect and the purposes for which we use your Personal Information.

As further detailed in applicable Company policies regarding the use of Company technology, you do not have the right to privacy in your use of Company information technology resources, including emails and communications for work purposes which constitute Company business records and which are monitored and may be reviewed or disclosed at any time without further prior notice for compliance, legal and/or other operational purposes.

Additionally, please keep your Personal Information up to date and inform us of any significant changes to your Personal Information. You must follow applicable law and our Company policies, standards and procedures that are brought to your attention when handling any personal information about others to which you have access in the course of your employment or engagement with the Company, including, but not limited to, the Company’s Code of Conduct. In particular, you must not access or use any such personal information for any purpose other than in connection with, and to the extent necessary for, your employment or engagement with the Company. Your obligation to keep the personal information of others confidential continues after termination of your relationship with the Company.
