Jason’s background in real estate, remodeling and new construction made transitioning into property appraisals a natural next step.
“Inspired by a close friend and licensed appraiser who enjoyed the profession, I completed my apprenticeship under his mentorship.”
In 2021, Jason earned his Certified Residential Appraiser license and launched his own firm in Bentonville, Arkansas. He currently serves Northwest Arkansas and Southwest Missouri.
One of the most rewarding parts of the profession for Jason is staying connected to the growth and evolution of his local community.
“It is fulfilling to leverage that insight to keep buyers and lenders seamlessly informed of market shifts as they happen.”
Going above and beyond for homeowners and lenders is also an important part of how Jason conducts his business.
“I understand that life is busy, which is why I routinely accommodate evening and weekend appointments to fit homeowners’ schedules.”
Jason also does what he can to help keep time-sensitive transactions moving.
“Furthermore, when a lender needs a rush order to keep a closing on schedule, I am fully committed to working extended hours to ensure those reports are delivered accurately and on time.”
Professionalism plays a central role in Jason’s approach to appraisal work.
“In the appraisal industry, professionalism is the foundation of building trust. Lenders, homeowners, and buyers must be able to trust that an appraiser is operating with peak integrity.”
That includes conducting thorough research, property inspections and objective analysis before reaching a valuation.
“Ultimately, true professionalism means delivering unbiased, shortcut-free results while treating every individual involved with the utmost respect.”
In Bentonville and the surrounding Northwest Arkansas area, Jason is seeing changes related to corporate growth and tourism.
“Walmart’s recently opened corporate headquarters in Bentonville, Arkansas, has spurred an influx of executives from across the country which has affected the residential housing market.”
Northwest Arkansas has also become a destination for outdoor tourism.
“Parallel to this corporate boom, Northwest Arkansas has successfully positioned itself as a premier mountain biking destination, drawing outdoor enthusiasts nationwide.”
Meanwhile, the Benton County housing market is showing more inventory and longer selling times than a year ago. The median home sale price is $392,500, down 1.7% from $399,250 last year. There were 595 sales last month compared with 574 a year ago, while active listings increased to 3,177 from 2,459. Average days on market increased to 33 days from 23 days during the same month last year.
