Garrett Smith’s journey to becoming a notary began in 2019 after he discovered the profession through a YouTube video. At the time, he was working as an account representative and looking for a better job.
“I quickly realized that I could make a lot more money as a mobile notary than I could in my current career as an account representative.”
That realization set him on a new path. Today, Garrett Smith provides notary services throughout New Mexico, with a concentration on Albuquerque and Rio Rancho.
What Garrett Smith finds most rewarding about his work is providing a service that helps people during important moments in their lives.
“The rewarding part about being a mobile notary is knowing that I am providing a unique service that allows people to provide for themselves or their loved ones, whether that’s by buying or selling their home, refinancing, or signing a will or power of attorney.”
Garrett Smith is no stranger to adapting to meet client needs.
“I have been asked to assist in many types of situations from conducting a closing in a hospital room due to an unforeseen emergency, or conducting a closing for a military spouse who is traveling across the country to a new assignment and meeting me at a Starbucks along the interstate.”
Professionalism is also an important part of Garrett Smith’s approach to his work.
“Being professional means being polite and respectful, while being as helpful as possible within the parameters of our profession.”
